The best place to start is the club we all USE the most the PUTTER.

On average 43% a round of golf is with the putter, YET most player are using putters that are wrong for them; they may have the wrong TYPE or the wrong LENGTH, wrong GRIP size or the wrong LOFT / LIE angle.

Good news - they are easily corrected.

HOW TO LOWER YOUR HANDICAP...........

The 3 types of putter

EMAIL NOW

There are 3 types of putter the face balanced (left image) full toe hang, 1/2 toe hang. They are designed to suit different putting strokes,If you have the wrong type you will not be a good putter.

The majority of players putters are the wrong length, causing poor aim and missed short putts.

STOP THAT SLICE.....

A slice is mainly caused by the players technique rather than the equipment, NOTICE I say mainly there are occasions when wrong shaft type or spine alignment can cause leaked ball, but mainly its the player.

There are club heads designed to reduce the slice, the secret to their success is the correct shaft flex and torque. When diagnosed correctly you can reduce that slice dramatically

TAKE YOUR SHARE OF THE WEDGE

After your putter wedge play is the next most important …..

Wedges are available from Pitching wedge, through a Gap wedge, Sand wedge and Lob wedge. The lofts vary considerably, but yours should be graduated to each other otherwise you'll struggle with yardages.

The design of the head needs to match your stroke, and the type of course you play. The sole grind, the bounce angle, the leading edge design all play an important role.

You MUST have the lie angle DYNAMICALLY checked, if you don't you may well be losing shots left or right of target through no fault of your swing.

Over the years I've hand ground the soles on many wedges to produce truly customised wedges.

I love fitting putters the results are amazing, transforming most players games, often within an hour.
